About the Journal
This Journal will really help you with your 200-Year Challenge!
The goal of the Journal is to get the major details of your 124 Direct Ancestors into one-place, so that you can easily refer to it and cross-reference information as you make other discoveries from dozens (or hundreds) of other databases.
It is setup as a color-coded spreadsheet and is very intuitive to follow – each of your Moms and Dads have their own number, a “relation” code and even the number for that person’s Mom and Dad.
There is plenty of space to write the details for each person, with large boxes for making notes.
The Journal also includes a sample of the big chart so that you can easily see how the numbering system works. The numbering system is called the Ahnentafel System (German for “Ancestor’s Table”), which has been used for hundreds of years.
The Big-3 research websites and software programs all use this system. Learning this numbering system will make your research super-easy to track “who belongs to who” and how everyone fits into your family.
