ABOUT PHOTOMYNE

Amazing!   Incredible!   Fast!   Take a look at what this program can do for you and your photos!

We all have a box of old family photos that has been collecting dust.   These photos are irreplaceable - and - tell a story that words can't ... the reason we haven't digitized these photos is that scanning them on a scanner can take a long time and sending them away puts them at risk of getting lost.

The Photomyne app is the solution to those problems ... it is definitely a tool that can help you in your 200-Year Challenge in ways you may not have thought about!

Here is what Photomyne can do for you :

  • You can digitize each of your photo albums in minutes - true story - watch the video above and see it for yourself - the app automatically crops, rotates and enhances the photos for you - amazing!

  • You can scan photos, slides AND negatives - all with your cell phone

  • You can colorize your old B&W photos, if you'd like to

  • You can add names, dates, places and other details to each photo

  • You can scan the backs of photos

  • You can add a "Voice-Over" - your own voice to each of the photos - and talk about some of the details and what was going on during the photo

  • You can scan documents and photos when you visit relatives - while you are in the moment ... this app lives on your cell phone and is always available - the quality is much better than taking regular photos with your cell phone's camera because the app will automatically crop and color correct each photo as you go

  • You can scan documents and photos when you see something at Historical Societies and Museums in towns that your Direct Ancestors once called home

  • Once you have your photos scanned, they are preserved forever.   You can share them with your family members.   You can share them on your family tree - with distant relatives and FUTURE relatives

  • You can save HUNDREDS of hours in scanning your family's memories - watch the video below and you will instantly see how you can use this in your life   : )))

EXAMPLE - the usefulness of this app

My wife, Lisa, and I both try to take credit for discovering this app.

Lisa’s Dad used a flatbed scanner to digitize all of their family photos – probably taking a hundred hours over the years to scan all of their slides.

This process, nowadays, could probably be done in just a few hours with PhotoMyne.

I am the “Keeper of the Box” for my side of the family, which means I have boxes of photos, negatives, slides and old super-8 movies that are just sitting there.

A few years ago, I pulled out all of my boxes of photos and just took photos of each one with my ipad – just to have copies in case something happened to the originals.   This process took several days and I still have to go back into each photo to crop and color correct as much as possible.   I have stacks of negatives that didn’t get touched.

I will be pulling all of those photos out and rescanning them with the app - and it will probably take me just one day - and give me much better quality - the app will automatically crop and color correct each photo.   I will also be able to scan my negatives.

Another quick example ...

A while ago, I got a call from an older relative who had a box of old photos and letters from my Mom's side of the family.   Her husband was my Mom's cousin and he was the keeper of the box - he passed away years ago and she found the box as she was clearing out other items from their storage room.

When she called I jumped at the chance to see the box.   What a fantastic choice that was!

In the box were the original letters that my Grandmother wrote to her Mom (my Great Grandmother) when she was 22 years old and madly in love with the person that would become my Mom’s Dad.

I was able to make copies of these items with my cell phone, but would have had much better copies if I had the Photomyne app.

WHERE TO GET THE APPS

Photomyne offers quite a few different apps - the most useful are the Main app, the SlideScan (for scanning slides) and the FilmBox (for scanning negatives).

You can download each of these apps from the App Store (for iPhone or iPad) or Google Play (for Android phones).   You can also go to the Photomyne website, or you can look them up directly from your cell phone with the keyword Photomyne.

I also put the links below.

FREE TRIAL

You can try a few scans for free, no payment or credit card required.

If you like the app, you can upgrade to a paid Membership for 1-month, 1-year or 2-years.

Whichever way you go, the cost is a terrific deal for the amount of Computer Magic that you will get!

Each app is sold separately - you probably want to start with the Main app, and then add on the SlideScan or the FilmBox apps when you are ready for them for an extra $5.99 or $7.99 per month.

COSTS

1. The Main app is priced at $9.99 per month or $47.99 for 2-years

2. The SlideScan app is priced at $7.99 per month or $39.99 for 2-years

3. The FilmBox app is priced at $5.99 per month or $39.99 for 2-years

4.  ACCESSORIES - I also included pricing and links for a few of their accessories that can help you make better quality scans.

The accessories are all sold by Photomyne on Amazon.com with free delivery, a 30-day guarantee and free returns.

The Light Pad is for putting your slides or negatives on when you scan them - you can also hold them up to your computer screen, but using the Light Pad will get you better quality.

The Phone Mount is another tool that will give you better quality by reducing the movement to the phone when you do each scan.

The Light Diffuser is good to even out the light, reducing hot spots and glare.

You do not need any of these accessories, but if you are scanning a lot of photos, they will be worth the extra cost.

PhotoMyne Team - Listed On Stock Exchange.jpg

THE PHOTOMYNE TEAM
Photomyne is an international company who is based in Israel.   Their apps are in use in over 200 countries around the world.

They were founded in February 2015 by Nir Tzemah, Yair Segalovitz, Omer Shoor, and Natalie Verter - who are pictured above along with their Team when they went Public on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in March of 2021.

Photomyne's first mobile app came out on iPhones and iPads in July, 2015 and the first Android version followed in September 2016.

This is a fun, dynamic company that added a magic touch to the incredible cameras that are included with our cell phones.   Their focus was on creating a way to make it super-easy to scan the estimated 550-BILLION photos that already exist, so that they can be seen and not forgotten.
